After read this blog and the comments that my classmate posted, have to say that
the issue that mentioned in the article is quite common in today's architecture. But
their one thing that shocked me is this issue were appeared in Europen. In my point
of view, it is reasonable to find this kind of apartment in developing countries, but not
in European. Especially Spain, the country with hundreds of remakable buildings such
as the The Royal Palace in Madrid, Batllo apartment, Goel Park et cetera.

Compare with other famous buildings in Spain, the apartment that in this blog were
considered as inappropriate, irresponsible and lack of consideration. It ture that the form
of this building is simple ,clear and shows a sence of beautiful, just as Steven said: In a
long tradition of squeezing beautifully resolved plans into minimum area.

However, when you look closely at this apartment's plan, the repeatation of the residence
and some rotation to fit in the form. Expecially the samll balcony which is way to narrow
when you compare with the statement in Residential Flat Design Code. The ventilation for
this apartment was reluctantly feasible, but the solar control and consideration were
insufficient.

In conclusion，a good apartment should not only focus on the aecthetic form, sustainability
material and the environmental consideraion, such as lighting, acousics and ventilation.
The following link shows another kind of flat design code but much more  specific. In my
point of view, architect should design the apartment follow the building code sometimes
even considered more than it.

Assignment 3 theater design

Analysis of the site. The meanly feature that I inspire from the site.
1. The contrast between two site of the river.
2. The feature of shift from one site of the river to another site of the river.

Assignment 4 Theater plan and model week 4

1:500 site plan, overall the theater plan can view as four trapeziums. I trying to use the same language to create the shap of theater as thermal bath.

1:200 ground level plan:, shows the circulation  of the theater, the stairs that at the entrance and pull in trying to present a shift from landscape and the theater, it also make up the difference of landscape level
. All of these three theaters were in someway digged in to the ground. The gray lines that in this plan presents the level that under ground.

1:200 basement level plan that clear shows the relationship between all three theater and the landscape. There one passageway that connect all three theaters with the stuff room and the workshop.

1:200 long section and cross section. From this drawing it clearly shows the level changes and the part of the theater that under ground.

Issuas that need to be improved：
 
1.The connection between the street.
2.The loading area of large theater and small theater
3.Specific plan of the cafe, shop, workshop etc.
4.Need more space for the back stage.

Assignment 3 concept of theater design (week 1)

 

There aspects that inspired by thermal bath.

The unique grap between each roof and the unique light effect it created.

The combination of landscape and building.

The coherence line element.

 

Another inspiration was came from the theater in Chinese, the stackable roof create an interestion negative space.

Basic concept drawing  of roof.

Concept plan of theater, the red parts of the plan show 2 theaters, blue area were the stuff rooms and changing room of actors. the gray parts show the commerial area such as the art shop and restaurant. At least, the green part was the open space.

The sketch model of the theater concept. The negative space the created by the roofs can let the nature light comes straight into the main theater.

The model with material, the line element of the theater surface and the green roof shows the combination of landscape and theater.

Assignment 2 the concept analysis of Thermal bath

The site plan of thermal bath, that the thermal bath were surrounded by the hotel and visiters can only access to the thermal bath from one entrance which is under ground.

The basic concept of thermal bath that is inspire from a stone with green moss of it.

                                    Then, the basic sharp of thermal bath were designed.

                                            Another character was coherence line.

                                          The concept plan of thermal bath, 25 blocks .

The roof of thermal bath, 16 blocks which cover 25 blocks and each of them leaft a unique garp which can let the natural comes in.

The plan of thermal bath and the access rate of circulation. From yellow to red, which shows a shift from lower to higher.

The number of entrances were related to the purpose of the area. The main bath have 4 entrances while the secondry bath have 3 entrances.

This image shows the different color of thermal bath were ralated to it's function.The changing room were used as red.

Model

The model of stage, that with the concept of two different elemet gradually come together. It also related to the two different parties  of "western story". The black and white that staggered each other shows the mutual integration natural area and commerial area. Also there are three abstract image of the site of the parramatta.

The back of the stage, two stairs show how different parties of artors come up to the stage.
